The Morgenroth stands for a new kind of departure in Bad Blankenburg. As a modernized building, it is a symbol of change and innovation. Where administration used to take place, new things are now being created: Here, business travelers and conference guests find space for fresh ideas, forward-looking approaches, and creative exchange. At the same time, the hotel offers private guests and those seeking relaxation a place to retreat, unwind, and recharge. With its history and modern orientation, the Hotel Morgenroth embodies the balance between tradition and renewal – a place where every guest, whether business or private, finds inspiration and well-being.

The Morgenroth was deliberately created where it stands today – not as a secluded retreat, but as a vibrant part of Bad Blankenburg. Instead of building on untouched nature, we have transformed an existing place and breathed new life into it. Thanks to its central location, we are easily accessible: By car in under an hour from Erfurt, Jena or Weimar, by train only a five-minute walk from the train station. And those looking for nature will find it just around the corner – in the Thuringian Forest, Schwarzatal or on the Thuringian Sea.

 

The Initiators

Das Morgenroth is a project of the heart for Tobias and Georg Jahn: They manage Jahn GmbH, a company firmly rooted in Bad Blankenburg, Thuringia, for generations. They supported Nelson Müller with his restaurant projects and thus came into contact with his innovative concepts regarding gastronomy and culinary arts.
When a vacant administrative building not far from the company premises came under the responsibility of the entrepreneurs, the vision of Das Morgenroth was born: A place that combines Thuringian hospitality,
regional connection and visionary culinary arts. A project with which the highly successful company gives something back to the region. A potential ruin, awakened from its decades-long slumber and transformed into a place of longing.

The Partners

Das Morgenroth benefits from the collaboration with experienced partners. The SODA Group, led by Andreas Müller, contributes its expertise in gastronomy and design. The Czech company Rodvi, known for its competence in hotel management, acts as the hotel operator.

The Star Chef

The Müllers in the Thuringian Forest bears the unmistakable signature of Nelson Müller – one of the leading names in the German culinary scene. As a concept developer and partner for gastronomy and culinary arts, he brings not only his expertise, but also his vision of modern enjoyment to Morgenroth.

This restaurant is not just another chapter in his success story, but also his first project in Thuringia. His presence extends far beyond the menu design: from building the team to training the employees, he ensures that his philosophy is felt in every detail.
